Who knew?!

I came home from work tonight and looked up in the sky for some reason and the clouds looked amazing! Don't you think?

Flowers for inspiration? Not Again!

I'm so sick of flowers having to be main source of inspiration. Time for a change up people! Of course, there isn't anything wrong with flowers being a source of inspiration but come on, everytime? Why not try something new, you may be suprised? Or incorporate them with other inspirations? I like to see originality, as does everyone else.

I love being outdoors and so during the summer so far I've been scouring the North East for new sources. Yesterday I visited one of my favourite places; Tynemouth. I always like to have a walk down the North Pier and my oh my was it visually stunning! The way the water moved and the patterns it made were wonderful, the wind constantly changed the movement and the colours were just simply awe inpsiring!  I like to look a little deeper though, at the shapes of rocks and the way they have been erroded release bursts of pattern and colour and the way the side of the pier that is usually underwater has been developed by nature. To you it may look like photos of a bay but I challenge you to see what I see.

After my trip to Tynemouth I looked closer to home at my local beach. It was really lovely to be inpired by somewhere just around the corner. I also found these little glass boxes in the fencing, aren't they just so cute?!

Ive been doing some cut&stick research in my sketchbook and so I figured its about time I did some good 'ole fashioned drawing. I've only done a couple of pages so far but at least its a start. I'm starting off drawing foliage and may progress to a few flowers but I generally want to stay away from them this project otherwise I'm forever going to hate them! Hope you like it! Please feel free to comment with ideas or consructive critism, its always welcome!

Innabit!
